- KFB provides over 1,600 sack supper evening meals every day to children at 16 elementary schools. That's over 310,000 meals yearly.
- An additional 15 schools are on the waiting list
- At each school KFB serves, 80% or more of students receive free or reduced lunch
- Each supper contains 800 - 1000 calories and 5 food groups
- Sack supper contents: one fresh fruit and vegetable, a meat & cheese sandwich, a health snack and a 100% fruit juice box.
- It takes just $0.86 to feed a child an evening meal - that's $140 for an entire year
- Volunteers serve from ages 5 - 95 and number over 1,500. On average, 80 people volunteer at KFB each day
- KFB receives no government funding; all funds are donated by caring individuals, corporations, foundations, civic groups and churches.
